** 🍾 Luxury Champagne Tasting at the Gin Shop — 7 exclusive champagnes and 5 delicious servings**

November 2026 | The gin shop at Hesede Hovedgård

There are champagne tastings. And then there are those nights where we really find the good bottles!

In November, we invite you to a very special evening in the Ginbutikkens own cozy premises on Hesede Hovedgård. We will taste 7 amazing champagnes from four different champagne houses, and along the way we will serve five small, delicious snacks carefully selected to play along with the bubbles.

We're going around both classic champagnes, exclusive vintages, a champagne stored below sea level -- and we finish with one of the world's most iconic prestige champagnes: Louis Roederer Cristal.

This is one of the tastings I would really like to see!

** 🥂 Tonight's 7 Champagne**

** 🍾 1. Louis Roederer Collection 246 Brut**

We start elegantly with Louis Roederer's Collection 246. A nice, harmonious champagne with fresh citrus, ripe fruit and fine roasted notes.

A nice opening to the evening, where we get the taste buds going.

** 🍾 2. Jean Vesselle Brut Reserve — Bouzy**

From the Grand Cru village of Bouzy we get this lovely, classic champagne, where Pinot Noir helps to give both fullness, structure and character.

Here we begin to really taste how different Champagne can express itself.

** 🍾 3. EPC Blanc de Blancs Millésimé 2014**

EPC is one of the newer and more exciting names in Champagne, and here we have found an exclusive vintage champagne made from 100% Chardonnay.

Expect elegance, minerality, fine citrus notes and a lovely ripe complexity.

** 🍾 4. Leclerc Briant Rosé Extra Brut ECO**

Of course, we need rosé too!

And Leclerc Briant makes some really interesting champagnes. Here we get organic Champagne with freshness, fine red berries and an elegant, dry finish.

It's rosé with seriousness and lots of personality.

** 🍾 5. Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2017**

We stay in the world of Chardonnay, but now with Louis Roederer.

An exclusive vintage campaign with an impressive combination of freshness, finesse and depth. A champagne where the little details really start to make the difference.

** 🍾 6. Leclerc Briant Cuvée Abyss Brut Zero ECO 2017**

Now it's getting a little unusual!

Abyss is a very special champagne, which after production has been stored below sea level.

Yes, under the sea!

It gives us a great story to delve into while tasting a complex champagne with distinct minerality and intriguing nuances.

It's not exactly a bottle you'd find on every shelf.

** 🍾 7. Louis Roederer Cristal 2018**

And then, of course, we end with a bang.

Originally created for the Russian Tsar, Cristal has since evolved into one of the world's most famous prestige champagnes.

Here we talk about elegance, complexity, balance and a finish that lingers long after the last sip.

A champagne that most people have heard of, but which far fewer have actually had the opportunity to taste.

And that's exactly why it has to go tonight!

** 🧀 Five small servings — carefully selected for the champagne**

Champagne tastes great on its own, but with the right food, something really special can happen.

That is why we have put together five small snacks that will be served continuously during the tasting.

** 🐟 1. Blinis with smoked salmon and lemon cream**

We begin with small blinis topped with smoked salmon, fresh lemon cream and a little dill.

A classic combination in which the fatness of the salmon and the freshness of the lemon go wonderfully with the first champagnes.

Served to Louis Roederer Collection 246 and Jean Vesselle Brut Réserve.

** 🍋 2. Scallop with citrus and cucumber**

A small, elegant contraption with scallop, fresh citrus and cucumber.

The fine taste of sea and citrus is a nice match to the mineral Chardonnay in EPC's vintage campaign.

Served for EPC Blanc de Blancs Millésimé 2014.

** 🦆 3. Crispy brioche with anderillette and pickled red onions**

Now we need to fill up a little more!

We serve a small crispy brioche with juicy anderillette and pickled red onions.

The fullness of the duck and the acidity of the red onion provide an intriguing counterpoint to the fruit and freshness of rosé champagne.

Served to Leclerc Briant Rosé Extra Brut.

** 🦪 4. Fresh oyster with classic mignonette**

Of course, when we open the Leclerc Briant Abyss, we also have to have a bit of the sea on our plate.

A fresh oyster with a classic mignonette of shallots and vinegar.

It's a simple but amazing combination where the salty and mineral character of the sea meets the champagne.

Served to Leclerc Briant Abyss. Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs is tasted immediately before.

** 🧀 5. Matured Comté with crispy brioche**

For the last and most exclusive champagne of the evening, we keep it simple.

A small piece of well-ripened Comté with crispy brioche.

The nutty, deep flavor of the Comté plays wonderfully with the mature complexity of Cristal -- without taking the attention away from the champagne.

Served to Louis Roederer Cristal.

Note: These are five smaller servings accompanying the champagne tasting -- not a full dinner.

** ✨ An Evening of Champagne — Without Fine Sensation**

Although we have found some quite exclusive bottles, it is definitely not going to be a stiff or solemn affair.

We need to taste, compare, become smarter and, above all, enjoy ourselves.

Along the way we talk about the different champagne houses, the grape varieties, the vintages and why some champagnes cost significantly more than others.

And, of course, we need to find out if we can actually taste the difference!

You don't need to know anything about Champagne in advance. You just have to be curious, like good bubbles and feel like a cozy evening with great flavors.

** 🎁 Special champagne prices of the evening**

Of course, we provide particularly good prices on the evening's champagnes, so you have the opportunity to buy your favourites home.

And if you don't feel like lugging around the bottles, we also offer to ship them directly to your home.

** 🏡 We will meet in the Gin Shop's own premises**

This time the whole experience takes place at the Gin Store at Hesede Hovedgård near Haslev.

We create a cozy and relaxed setting where there is plenty of time for the champagnes, the small servings and of course all the good stories.

And with a maximum of 40 participants, it will be an evening where there is also room for questions and good talk along the way.

** 🎟️ Are you going?**

7 exclusive champagnes. 4 champagne houses. 5 delicious servings. One amazing night.

From EPC's exclusive Blanc de Blancs to the ocean-stocked Abyss and the iconic Cristal.

It's going to be a night where we really pamper the taste buds.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Gin Shop! 🥂

Subject to changes in champagne program, vintages and servings due to availability and raw material deliveries.
